He and Eveann enjoyed collaborating on musical projects and served for years in the choir of their church, Jake's attention to detail made him a natural for his love of painting. Having served in the military, he was keenly aware of the support needed by returning service men. He faithfully supported the VFW Post 2667 in Newnan and their programs that benefited students in high school and their educational projects. During their retirement years Jake and Eveann enjoyed doing background for the film industry in Georgia. Jake was dedicated to his family and his faithful wife of 35 years, Eveann Moore Howard.
